CatchCryptoBot Terms of Service
Effective date: November 1, 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
CatchCryptoBot is a Discord app and a web dashboard at catchcryptobot.com, operated by Christopher A. Jones, an individual in Texas, USA ("we", "us"). These terms cover your use of the bot, its commands and the dashboard (together, the "Service"). By adding the bot to a server, using any of its commands, or signing in to the dashboard, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must also follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. If these terms conflict with Discord's terms, Discord's terms win.
2. Who can use it
You must be old enough to use Discord in your country, and at least 18 years old. If you add the bot to a server, you confirm you have permission to manage that server.
3. What the Service does
The Service shows cryptocurrency prices and charts, sends price alerts by direct message, removes links that appear on a public list of known scam sites, posts security tips, offers a position-size calculator, and lets you donate to support the project. Server admins choose which features run in their server through the dashboard. A newly added bot posts nothing, deletes nothing and changes no roles until an admin turns a feature on.
4. Not financial advice
CatchCryptoBot is an information and safety tool. It does not trade, hold funds, or manage wallets for anyone, and it never asks for a private key or seed phrase.
Nothing the Service shows is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset. Prices, charts and token data come from third-party sources and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. A Bubblemaps link or a security check result is not a statement that a token is safe. You alone are responsible for your decisions and any losses. Crypto assets are volatile and you can lose all of your money.
5. Price alerts
Alerts are sent on a best-effort basis. They can arrive late or not at all, for example if a data source is down, Discord is unavailable, or your DMs are closed. Do not rely on an alert to protect a position.
6. Scam-link protection
When a server admin turns it on, the bot reads messages in that server to check links against the public MetaMask phishing list and deletes messages that contain a listed domain. It will miss some scams and may sometimes remove a safe link. It does not replace human moderation, and server admins remain responsible for their server.
7. Donations
Donations are voluntary gifts in crypto sent to the project's donation address. They:
- buy no goods, services, ownership, tokens or future benefits, and are not an investment;
- are final and cannot be refunded, because blockchain transfers cannot be reversed;
- are not tax-deductible charitable contributions, because CatchCryptoBot is run by an individual and is not a registered charity.
Send only the assets and network the /donate command lists. Assets sent on the wrong network or to the wrong address may be lost, and we cannot recover them. Linking a wallet with /link-wallet lets us thank you by name and give you the Supporter role in servers that use it. The Supporter role is a thank-you, not a purchase, and it can be removed by server admins or if the feature changes.
8. Paid plans
The Service is free today. If we offer paid plans later, they will be sold through Discord's own app subscriptions and covered by Discord's payment terms plus any extra terms we post at that time. We will not charge you for anything without your clear consent.
9. Your conduct
Do not use the Service to break the law or Discord's rules, harass others, spam, attempt to overload or attack the bot or dashboard, reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows, scrape it, or get around its limits. Do not use it to promote scams or to mislead people about a token.
10. Our rights
We may change, pause or stop any feature, limit use (for example the number of alerts or linked wallets), and suspend or block any user or server that breaks these terms or puts the Service or other users at risk. We own the CatchCryptoBot name, logo, code and content. You may not use our branding in a way that suggests we endorse you.
11. Third-party services
The Service relies on Discord and on outside data and link providers, including Coinbase, CoinGecko, DexScreener, Etherscan, GitHub (for the MetaMask list), alternative.me (for the Fear and Greed index), public FTC and IC3 alert feeds, and Bubblemaps. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Their own terms apply when you visit their sites.
12. Disclaimers and limits of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure or free of errors.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of funds, profits, data or opportunity, arising from your use of the Service, including trading decisions, missed or late alerts, or scams the bot did not catch. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of US $50 or the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
You agree to cover our reasonable costs from claims that arise from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in El Paso County, Texas, or in small claims court where eligible.
14. Changes and ending use
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, post a notice in our support server or on the website. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the new terms. You can stop using the Service at any time by removing the bot from your server, signing out of the dashboard, and asking us to delete your data (see the Privacy Policy).
